Seed swaps are events where new and experienced gardeners meet to exchange seeds,
network with other gardeners, learn and share your knowledge with others!

Schedule:
• 1p-2p: Seed drop-off, workshops and talks
• 2p-4p: Seed swap starts! ‘Shop’ for seeds for your garden - for free!

What to bring:
• FREE! You do not need to bring seeds to receive seeds.
• Unopened seed packets or saved seeds – please label with variety and date
• Envelopes or other containers, pens/pencils – to label and take home your new seeds

The Marin Master Gardeners and the Friends of Novato Library Seed Library invite you to celebrate National Seed Swap Day. Get ready for spring planting. Network with other gardeners. Bring seeds you've saved or ones from partly used envelopes no older than 2023--but you do not have to bring seeds to get seeds. Label your saved seeds with variety, date and location grown.  

Activities include: seed swap, planting tips and demonstrations for spring and summer gardens by Marin Master Gardeners, seedlings for exchange, children's activities.

Cuyahoga Valley Farmers Market
Roots & Shoots Kid's Market & Seed Swap at Old Trail School
Bath, Ohio – January 25th – The Cuyahoga Valley Farmers Market at Old Trail School
is partnering with local organizations to present the Roots & Shoots Kid's Market &
Seed Swap on January 25th, an event designed to engage children and adults in the
world of gardening, local food, and sustainable practices.
The event will feature:
● Interactive root vegetable recipe demonstrations by Steve Baker from Spice Field
Kitchen, showcasing the versatility and nutritional value of root vegetables.
● A seed swap hosted by Dennis from the Akron-Summit Public Library, promoting
seed saving and biodiversity; the public is encouraged to bring in their non-GMO,
organic, heirloom seeds to participate.
● Information on composting from Ben of Rubber City Reuse, highlighting the
importance of sustainable waste management.
● Live music by local musicians Tim and Chris Akin, creating a vibrant atmosphere.
The Roots & Shoots Kid's Market & Seed Swap is a free event open to the public and
provides a unique opportunity for families to connect with local food, learn about
sustainable practices, and enjoy a day of community and fun.

Place: Ogden Preparatory Academy, Jr. High School Gym, 1435 Lincoln Ave., Ogden, UT.

Admission: Free

Visit with local seed vendors and gardening experts; share and swap seeds with local seed savers. We welcome only locally grown and saved seeds at this event to promote seed saving, including our general bio-region, such as southern Utah and Idaho. Please make sure seeds you bring to share are labeled with seed type and date of harvest.  Note: You do not have to bring your own seeds to participate.
